Engineering Division Functions

The Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works has five main areas of concentration:

Planning and Design | Asset Management | Surveys, Maps, and Records | Construction Management | Consultant Oversight

Through its programs and services, the Engineering Division seeks to improve the quality of life within the City by overseeing maintenance of the existing infrastructure and design and oversight of improvement projects.


Department of Public Works/Municipal Service Building offices at 2026 New Jersey Avenue. Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Lane Closure – South Taylor Drive (Crocker Avenue to Washington Avenue)

Beginning Tuesday September 19th and continuing through Thursday September 21st, the southbound right lane of S. Taylor Drive will be closed at Crocker Avenue along with the two (2) right turn lanes of S. Taylor Drive at Washington Avenue for construction.
