New Neighborhood Fenced-in Dog Park is Open to the Public!

Categories: Parks & Forestry, City Projects

The City started a Pet Friendly Taskforce in 2020 to adopt the “Better Cities for Pets Initiative.” As a result of the taskforce, ordinances were changed to allow dogs in several city parks and it requested budgeting in the city’s five-year plan for three smaller neighborhood fenced in dog parks.

The first of the three dog parks just opened. You can now bring your dog to Ki-PAW-nis Park in Kiwanis Park, located just east of the pickleball courts along the multi-use-trail.
