The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works announces that Pennsylvania Avenue between North 13th Street and Commerce Street will be closed to through traffic from Tuesday, September 2, 2025, through late September 2025. This closure is necessary to accommodate infrastructure improvements associated with the reconstruction of Commerce Street north of Pennsylvania Avenue.
The construction includes water main replacement, new curb and gutter, streetlight improvements, concrete sidewalk repairs, and new concrete pavement.
A detour will be marked using North 14th Street, Erie Avenue, and North 9th Street. While Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed to through traffic, local access will be maintained.
All work and traffic impacts are weather-dependent and subject to change.
