Construction on South 10th Street between Broadway and Indiana Avenue will begin Monday, May 17, 2021. This work is being completed as part of the ongoing construction on Georgia Avenue. The construction on South 10th Street includes sanitary sewer repairs, storm sewer repairs, concrete sidewalk improvements, and new asphalt pavement.
Sanitary Sewer repairs are needed at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and South 10th Street. This work will require the intersection of Indiana Avenue and South 10th Street to be closed to all traffic. This closure is scheduled to begin Monday, May 17, 2021, and be complete on Friday, May 21, 2021. Indiana Avenue will be detoured using South 8th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, and South 14th Street. Residents and businesses on Indiana Avenue will remain accessible.
The work on South 10th Street will require South 10th Street to be closed to through traffic. Residents and businesses on South 10th Street in the construction area will be accessible using the cross streets between Broadway and Indiana Avenue.
The South 10th Street construction is scheduled to be complete in August of 2021.
