Christmas Tree Pickup

Categories: Garbage & Recycling, Streets & Sanitation, City Projects

The City of Sheboygan’s annual Christmas tree recycling pickup begins on January 2nd and continues through the end of January. A few notes to ensure an efficient process:

  • Trees are picked up on the same day as your garbage pickup day.
  • Christmas trees are picked up at the curb only, there is no alley pickup of Christmas trees.
  • All ornaments and decorative lights must be removed from the tree.
  • Do not place trees in plastic bags.
  • Wreaths are picked up with your normal curbside garbage collection.

Christmas trees can also be disposed of at the Recycling Center at 2026 New Jersey Ave; place trees in the area normally used for branches. Trees are recycled by grinding them into wood chips; these chips are available to the public for free.
