Winter Storm Update December 21, 2022

Categories: Garbage & Recycling, Streets & Sanitation

Forecasts are calling for snow to begin this evening, Wednesday December 21, 2022. Snow is expected all day Thursday through Friday evening and tapering off Saturday morning. There is a potential for over 48 hours of continuous snowfall.

The Department anticipates that the City of Sheboygan will be significantly impacted by this storm. Weather services are calling anywhere between five to ten inches of snow with wind gusts up to 50 MPH causing dangerous road conditions. If you do not have to be somewhere, watch the snow from indoors. The DPW appreciates everyone’s patience as the plow drivers work to clear the streets.

Conditions may require a snow emergency be declared, please refer to https://sheboygandpw.com/winte... for Winter Parking and Snow Emergency rules. There is potential that curbside collection scheduled for Friday December 23, 2022 may be impacted by this weather event. The DPW will post the information on our website and social media accounts if any changes are made to the collection schedule or if a snow emergency is declared.
