Road Closures - Asphalt Maintenance

Categories: Streets & Sanitation, Facilities & Traffic, City Projects

The Department of Public Works will begin work on pavement milling on various streets throughout the City beginning on June 30, 2025. Work is anticipated to be completed by July 2, 2025. Maintenance work under this includes milling of the existing pavement.

What to Expect:

On the day prior to work being scheduled, "No Parking" signs will be posted along the street section being milled. During the work, the street will be closed to thru traffic to complete the work efficiently and safely. These closures are temporary in nature, as the work is completed relatively quickly. Typical closures will not be longer than one day. The "No Parking" signs will be removed once the work is completed.

Milling work is scheduled for the following Streets:

  • South 20th Street - Indiana Avenue to Georgia Avenue
  • Dillingham Avenue - South 8th Street to South 12th Street
  • North 16th Street - Superior Avenue to Saemann Avenue
  • Oakland Avenue - South 8th Street to South 9th Street
  • South 7th Street - Union Avenue to Mead Avenue

These maintenance activities are weather dependent and subject to change.

The City of Sheboygan understands the inconvenience experienced during street maintenance activities and appreciates everyone's patience and cooperation as we work to complete this maintenance. Please use caution and slow down in work zones.
