Collaborative Tree Restoration Project Initiates Planting of First 100 Trees

The Sheboygan Rotary Club, the City of Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, and Alliant Energy are teaming up to plant the first 100 trees of a multi-phase restoration project for nine public parks in Sheboygan. On Saturday, November 6, Mayor Ryan Sorenson will welcome volunteers and staff to initiate the project launch, announce a significant gift, and begin restoring trees lost to Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) at Optimist Park. The effort is also one of Alliant Energy’s first tree planting events to kick off the company’s “One Million Trees” initiative announced earlier this year.
