Citywide 06/25/24 Storm Damage

Categories: Parks & Forestry

The Department of Public Works crews continue to make progress on the clean-up efforts because of the storm on June 25, 2024. The operation has now shifted from emergency response to debris management and systematic clean-up. The Department of Public Works crews have been working tirelessly and have made significant progress.

However, two parks received significant damage from the storm requiring temporary closures. A section of Lakeview Park will be closed due to flooding, a potential public health issue and safety concerns. The Department is asking the public to avoid the cordoned off area on the south side of Lakeview Park while repairs are completed. Evergreen Park will remain closed until June 27, 2024, for the safety of the public and Public Works’ crews while tree removal and clean-up operations are underway.

Please contact the DPW office via the website or (920) 459-3440 for reporting any concerns.
