City of Sheboygan Invites Community to Collaborative Waterfront Design Charrette

The City of Sheboygan is thrilled to invite all members of the community to participate in a collaborative multi-day design charrette aimed at transforming and enhancing our public waterfront spaces. This exciting event offers a unique opportunity for residents to share their ideas and creativity, shaping the future of Sheboygan's waterfront and marina.

The charrette will consist of several sessions, each designed to engage and involve the community in the planning process:

1. Charrette Kick-off Presentation & Hands-on Design Session

    • Date: Monday, June 24th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM
    • The Smith Group will present an overview of the project, followed by an interactive exercise where participants can share their vision for the waterfront with their neighbors.

    2. Open Design Studio

    • Dates: Tuesday, June 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and Wednesday, June 26th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    • Community members are encouraged to visit the studio at any time during these open hours to discuss their ideas with the design team and provide feedback on draft concepts.

    3. Public Open House

    • Date: Wednesday, June 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
    • This informal meeting will review community ideas, draft plans, and illustrations for the future of Sheboygan's waterfront. Participants can provide feedback to the design team.

    4. Progress Presentation

    • Date: Thursday, June 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
    • The final presentation will showcase all the work and draft ideas completed during the charrette week, highlighting the community's vision for Sheboygan's waterfront future.

    All sessions will be held at the Kiwanis Park Fieldhouse, located at 726 Kiwanis Park Rd, Sheboygan, WI 53081.

    The collective input and creativity of our residents will be instrumental in creating innovative solutions for our waterfront spaces. We look forward to seeing the proposals generated and shared through this collaborative event.
