The City of Sheboygan will be celebrating Arbor Day on Monday April 22, 2024.
The Jaycees are celebrating their 100th year anniversary this year and several junior Jaycees will be helping the Department of Public Works plant trees at Jaycee Quarry Park. This planting will help beautify the park, while adding benefits to the disc golf course. The Mayor will discuss the many benefits of trees and the City’s longstanding dedication to maintaining a diverse urban forest. The City Forester will demonstrate and discuss proper tree planting techniques. This year the City is celebrating 46 years of being designated “Tree City USA” by the Arbor Day Foundation and 4 years designated a “Tree City of the World”. We are the longest-running in all Wisconsin for both of these designations.
This is an outdoor event and is open to the public. The event will be located at Jaycee Quarry Park, 3401 Calumet Drive in Sheboygan on April 22, 2024 starting at 4:30pm and lasting about an hour.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Is there a pothole that you would like to see fixed? Or a city tree that needs to be trimmed?
