Public Works begins accepting online applications for special events

In 2022, the City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works began an initiative to streamline the Special Events process for the community. The amount of permits, which departments needed to be contacted, etc. created a challenging process for event organizers within the community to host special events. Together, key individuals in all City Departments worked to create a Special Event Ordinance which provides the framework for Special Events in the City. The Department of Public Works took the initiative a step farther, recognizing the need for an easy to use online application process for permitting in the City of Sheboygan. To kick-off the 2024 events process, the DPW is proud to announce the new platform, HeyGov, which allows event organizers to apply online for Special Events.

If you have any trouble when using the HeyGov platform while applying, please contact the DPW Office at 920-459-3440 to set up a meeting for assistance.
