According to Army Corps of Engineers Lake Michigan is expected to break high water levels. Property and business owners along the shore of Lake Michigan should start making preparations to prepare for the rising lake levels.
The City of Sheboygan and Sheboygan County officials have been meeting since late last year to discuss flood emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. This website is a result of those conversations. It is meant to provided citizens of the City of Sheboygan with information and resources for all phases of a flood emergency. The Department of Public Works will use this site to provide the best available information that may assist residents and business owners with their flood preparation plans.

As the lake levels rise in Lake Michigan waves can become more deadly. The Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory forecasts waves heights for Lake Michigan. The National Weather Service's Great Lakes Portal is another resource that property and business owners can access.
