Construction on Superior Avenue, between Taylor Drive and North 29th Street, is scheduled to begin on June 22, 2020. Construction will include storm sewer, sanitary sewer repairs, concrete pavement, sidewalk, street lighting, and updated traffic signals.

This work will close Superior Avenue to through traffic between Taylor Drive and North 29th Street. A detour will be in place using Wilgus Avenue, Kohler Memorial Drive Frontage Road and North 25th Street.

Residents and businesses on Superior Avenue in the construction area will be accessible from North 30th Street and North 31st Street. St. Nicholas Hospital will be accessible from North 31st Street and will continue to be accessible from the driveways on North Taylor Drive. The Medical Arts Building at 2920 Superior Avenue will accessible from the driveway on Saemann Avenue.

There will be no access to Superior Avenue, east or west, from North Taylor Drive while Superior Avenue is closed to through traffic.

Additionally, North Taylor Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the Superior Avenue intersection.

The Superior Avenue construction is scheduled to be complete in November 2020.

The City of Sheboygan understands the inconveniences experienced during road construction and appreciates everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project. Please use caution and slowdown in construction zones.
